Trincomlee

Trincomalee is one of the cities well known among the foreign countries and traders since the early times, as it is the natural harbour in Sri Lanka. Also called as the port city on the northeast coast, its natural shape of a peninsula gives way to anchor large ships travelling across the sea. Mixed with the Hinduism culture, there are several kovils to worship – Koneshwaram Temple and Pathrakali Amman Temple are two of the most popular kovils in the city. Kinniya Hot water springs is an amazing architecture, which still confuses the visitors of the possibility of such a piece of man-work. Fort Fredrick and British war cemetery are also places of attraction.
